Tom Schimmer

Tom Schimmer is currently the Vice-Principal at Penticton Secondary School in SD #67 (Okanagan-Skaha). He is an experienced presenter whose systemic, yet practical, approach to school or district-based implementation, change, and leadership models has been widely received by the numerous schools/districts where he has presented. Tom’s presentations focus on building capacity and shared leadership responsibilities within the framework of a professional learning community. He has presented workshops on PBS, Educational Leadership, and Assessment across Canada. Recently, Tom has been the lead facilitator with the Departments of Education in both Nova Scotia and Newfoundland for their province-wide implementation of PBS systems. He holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from U.B.C.
